Testimonials

-“I am a mature rider who has been taking lessons from Fenya for about a year. I brought a new horse to her farm and I have been so grateful that she was there to help my horse, Mindy, and I bond and grow together. Fenya has a gift for being able to teach you how to improve your riding, grow your confidence and also to connect with your horse on the ground. She is both patient and gentle, two qualities I appreciate. I have a strong, bold personality and she shows me when and how to soften my touch. Mindy has responded well. I appreciate her knowledge and ability to help me become a better riding partner and look forward to my next lesson with her. I talk with others at the barn and I hear them mimic my sentiments. Fenya has grown up around horses and her experience is vast. I would recommend Fenya for any level of riding instruction or ground work, she is exceptional. “

“Working with Fenya has been an amazing experience. I have taken her clinics as well as personal lessons. Riding with her is really enjoyable , she keeps things simple and reminds you to just have fun. Watching her with horses is a lesson in it self however watching the horses with Fenya is a beautiful experience. I miss having her energy and kindness at the farm so any where she goes will be extremely lucky to have her.”

-Maureen Helms

“Fenya is an excellent horse trainer and teacher. She has developed her own method of horsemanship called “holistic horsemanship” which draws on her lifelong experience working with horses, her world travels, and several techniques including natural horsemanship and liberty training. She has strong ethical standards that she will not compromise on. She is able to understand the needs and personality of a particular horse and respond in a way best suited to the individual. I’ve been taking lessons with Fenya several times a week for about a year, and one of the things I appreciate most about her is that she realizes that the best teachers are lifelong learners. She meets each new challenge with patience, kindness, curiosity, and flexibility, always considering what’s best for horse and rider. She does amazing work, from helping a thoroughbred learn to self-regulate to helping a mustang trust humans and enjoy being ridden.”
